Privacy Policy

• When you send a message through our Contact page: your name, email address, phone number, the topic you pick, your message, and the page you came from.
• When a captain lists or claims a charter: the captain's name, email and phone; the business name, city and state; their role and type of operation; details about the boat and trips; and any license or insurance documents they upload so we can verify the claim.
• When you book a trip through a charter's online booking button: the details needed to book and pay. Bookings are handled by Hookset's booking system and covered by Hookset's privacy policy at hooksetapp.com/privacy.
• When you browse: pages viewed, views of charter listings, clicks on booking and website buttons, the site that sent you here, and general device and browser information.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site will still work.

When you view a charter, the site stores a short booking reference in your browser tab for up to 30 minutes. It is sent with your charter views and button clicks, and added to the booking link, so a booking can be credited to this site. It is cleared when you close the tab.

If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the site skips Google Analytics and does not record your charter views, clicks or booking reference.

• To improve the site's guides, pages and listings

We don't sell or rent your personal information. Messages sent through our Contact page come to us, not to a charter. We share information only:

• With a charter when you book with them, so they can run your trip
• With service providers that run parts of the site for us, such as hosting, email, analytics and payment processing
• When the law requires it, or to protect people's safety

If a guest leaves a review of a charter, the review appears on that charter's page with the name the guest gave.

Listings that haven't been claimed show business details and photos the charter has published publicly, such as its name, phone number, website and departure point. If you run a listed charter and want anything corrected or removed, email us or claim your listing and edit it yourself.

We keep messages and claim records as long as we need them to answer you, run the site and meet legal obligations, then delete them. Analytics data is kept on Google Analytics' standard schedule.

We use reasonable safeguards to protect what you send us. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email support@hooksetapp.com or use the Contact page.

This site is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Charter websites, FWC and other sites we link to have their own privacy practices. We're not responsible for them.

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
