Family Adventure Charters is based at 7990 W. Gulf To Lake Highway in Crystal River and runs manatee tours, cruises and fishing charters, plus scallop trips in the Gulf during the July to September season. Scallop trips go out once a day and are timed around low tide, when the water on the beds is about 2 to 5 feet deep. The price is $90 per person, which covers the saltwater fishing license, snorkel, mask, fins and net.
