Crystal River Watersports at 2380 NW US Highway 19 runs scalloping trips during the July 1 to September 24 season. Trips last about 5 hours, departing at 7 am and 12:45 or 1 pm, and cost from $450 per boat for up to 4 guests plus from $75 for each additional person, up to 6 per boat. Each trip has a captain and an in-water guide, and multiple boats can travel together for larger groups. Masks, fins, snorkels, the diver down flag, bags and coolers with ice are provided, and their page says the saltwater license is provided. Guests bring their own bags and coolers to take scallops home.
