Captain Brandon Branch started Crystal River Fishing Company in 2016 and runs inshore, offshore and scalloping charters, with most charters leaving from the Plantation Inn & Golf Resort. Scalloping charters run 4 hours ($300 for 1 to 2, $350 for 3 to 4, $400 for 5 to 6) or 6 hours ($350 to $450), with a VIP option from $400 to $500. A full day half scalloping, half fishing charter is $700 to $900 for up to 4. Masks, fins and snorkels are available on request, and scallop days can end with a swim in one of Crystal River's springs. His FAQ lists water, a cooler with ice and fishing licenses as provided.
